筲箕湾

At about 06.00 hours on 28.12.39 I left Shaukiwan

Waters together with 26 of a crew.

At about 05.30 hours on 9.1.40 my junk was at

碣石

海丰 anchor about 5 milesoff the shore at KIT SHEK in Hỏi Fung

District together with 5 other junks when I noticed the

crew of a Japanese motor boat which had set fire to FAN

CHEUNG KI's junk leave his junk and come alongside my

junk. 4 Japanese sailors dressed in khaki uniform then

boarded my junk and ordered me and my crew into our

dinghy and ordered us to row ashore. We had been rowing

for about 15 minutes when I noticed my junk had been set

on fire by the Japanese. They then boarded their motor

boat and went alongside one of the other 5 junks. My

junk and fishing gear which became a total loss is

valued at $12,000.00 H.K. currency.
